Oh, these early weeks of school always seem like the craziest part of the year. Transitioning to schedules, evening preparations , morning preparations, trying to make time for everything that needs to happen, OH the insanity! Amidst these usual adjustments a few others have cropped up, Cub scouts, PWOC (protestant women of the chapel, though i don't actually GO to the the chapel, its more like "Christian women on this base's Bible study, oh with free child care... uuuh there!) and something rather personal that I'll talk about in another post (not dying or pregnant, or moving).

It has taken me quite sometime to post our first day of school pictures, FIRST GRADE NOW!!! Can you believe it!? My wee Little Bear!!!  He was so excited! His teacher is a treasure, we have been so blessed with who God has places him with, Jaime absolutely adores her.

Our first day went very smoothly, the boy had recharged over the summer and was rearing and ready to go... with we could say that for some of the parents (eye roll).  I was so happy to see him excitedly stride into the school, (the emotional freaking out parents were making him very nervouse) he had a face of sheer relief and excitement going into a new year! (unlike the kids of the parents who were freaking out... they started to cry... no this wasn't kindergarteners parents, kindergarten starts two weeks after the other grades). It was very odd walking home with only one little one, but its so nice to have alone time with our littlest baby.

Jaime had a great day and came home with stories to tell. we picked blackberries from the hedge for our ice creams that night, and chatted the whole way home.
