My window sills are in bloom and my sewing machines have been humming with activity. I have planted, battled aphids and mites, tidied and fertilized and all had paid off, my living room smells of gardenia, dipladenia, lavender, and geranium.
We have lego play, my dragon was a silly little soul, I think I earned mummy points from sitting still long enough to play and make something of interest to my bear(note to self: sit still more, let the house go to pot and play legos more with that sweet boy, he is growing too fast!)
A fair amount of knitting has happened.
A little shrug that is much too big.
I've made a pair of Rainbow socks for adeline, no pattern, but i'm on the hunt for a great simple sock pattern, fast and easy, one at a time...impossible!?
I finally received the extra blue skein I ordered(because I ran out of yarn towards the end EEEP) and finished my first shawl, its soft and lovely and perfect.
A coat for cool nights for miss adeline, I couldn't resist!(and thanks to my recent attempt at gaming, out of my comfort zone in a big way because I love my husband and my friends) I am nearly finished!
still spinning, slowly and surely.
Oh my lovely hooks, how I have missed you! I'm crocheting a wee little wolf for my little Grey Wolf's second birthday. I don't know how it will turn out but I shall try my hardest, its the trickiest pattern i have done, though well written and clear, i'm learning so much! (oh and do you spy my new handmade skirt!)
The apple fabric she continually pulled off the fabric shelf and it is by far her favorite dress, wear it all day, to bed, mum washes it and we start all over again!
Two dragon dresses were made, one for Ada and one for her best friend Tesla(they love dragons) Tesla's turned out a bit better due to a few happy mistakes, like cutting in the wrong place and needing to add a pretty celtic knot fabric to the bottom, Adeline chose the plainer one that was a size big for herself, (her fathers daughter) good thing too because Tesla is an elf (fair, slender, delicate looking) to Adeline's hobbit (Dark with curls, a hearty girl is she) Addie knew!
The butterfly "was-a-dress-now-a-tunic" was in my sewing basked hiding, so i made it, gave it a big pocket and pair it with leggings(or panties when we are home and she using the potty!)
I'm not the only clever creative one either, my little ones are always creating something new, Jaime has school projects like the one below that require (gratefully) both Jake and I to create with him. Oh, how I love that!
